The CCM180/160Y explosion-proof diesel three-rail locomotive is auxiliary transport equipment suitable for operation in small cross-sections and complex terrain, capable of heavy-duty continuous transportation on steep gradients. The locomotive travels on a three-rail track laid at the roadway floor. Its body weight is borne by conventional narrow-gauge rails installed on the roadway floor, and it is driven by polyurethane friction wheels clamping the middle rail. It integrates operation, control and braking functions.

CCM180/160Y防爆柴油机三轨机车适应于小断面和复杂地形运行的辅助运输设备，可适应大坡度重载连续运输工况机车在巷道底部敷设的三轨铁路上运行，由巷道底部敷设的普通窄轨铁路进行承载车身重量，由聚氨酯摩擦轮通过夹紧中间轨进行驱动行走，且具有操纵、控制、制动等功能。
